Puriton Indoor Bowling Club gives a welcome to bowlers of all ranges of ability. Among its members are two qualified coaches who can assist anyone wishing to improve their game.
Some players just wish to come for a roll up with their friends, while others look forward to the friendly competition of playing in league teams on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons and on Thursday and Friday evenings.
The club also has a large fixture list of friendly matches against many other clubs in Somerset and Devon and the selection committee will endeavor ensure that any player who wishes to play in these teams will be selected.
There are also several competitions in which many members enjoy taking part and, should anyone relish some really stiff opposition, Puriton also takes part in the Somerset County League.
The club is open for indoor bowling all year round and, after the less than perfect summer weather of the last two years, the number of players playing indoors durin the summer has increased considerably.
If you would like to know more about the club then please contact the secretary, Derek Clarke, on (01278) 683882.
